筋力では全てを制せない?
身体の動く仕組みを考える時、
重力についで何を考えますか?
筋力!という答えが多い気が...

確かに筋力は大事です。
そもそも重力に抗するのも筋力に依存しています。
しかし、筋力には幾つか考えておかなければならないことがあります。
1つは、筋力と一言でいっても、
出しうる最大の力=最大筋力?
それとも長く出せる持久力?
いや素早く出せる力=瞬発力?
もっと早い反射の収縮力?
などなど、考えると「筋力」という言葉でくくっても、いろいろな
要素が含まれています。
重力に抗していつも働く力は持久的ですし、マラソンなどで使う
筋力も比較的持久的な要素が必要です。それに対して、
重量挙げなどでは、瞬発的にいかに最大の力を発揮するかが重要。
さらに、
例えば球技などでは、身体を巧みに動かしてバランスを保ったり
わざと崩してシュートを打つ、アタックする、補球するなど。
単なる力では計れない要素も必要になってきます。
数値で出てきてわかりやすい目安ではある「筋力」ですが、
それだけで身体の動きを評価はできない。当たり前と言えば当たり前のことです。
難しくいえば、筋力は必要条件だが、十分条件ではない。
ということになります。
